Expansion and additions

NEWS NEWS NEWS

Yes, indeed there is some news.  I’m currently in the process of expanding my company.  I’ve been doing a lot of web development and print ordering (business cards, rack cards, etc…), and I will be soon revamping my site to display and support my additional services.  Photography still remains just as important as the other two, but I like to keep myself busy and I wanted to offer my clients a more wholesome approach to their branding and image requests.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Another year has gone by, and Christmas is already upon us!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank all my clients for a wonderful year.  I’ve enjoyed taking photos and building websites for people this year.  I’ve learned more about myself and business this year than I thought possible, and I’m continuing to learn how to serve you all better!  From architectural photography to web development, from creative portraits to design, marketing, and implementation – it’s been an adventure!

I’m looking forward to the coming year and hopefully expanding the business a bit!  Without all of you, none of this would have been possible, so one more time

THANK YOU!!

Commercial Update

Hey everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve updated.  Been busy with photography and web development (which I do on the side).  Thought it was time for an update and some photos of some of the architectural and commercial work I’ve been doing!

Blair McKinnon Celebrity Football

HUGE thanks to everyone who helped organize and sponsor the Blair McKinnon Celebrity Football game!

I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph the event, and I had a lot of fun.  Met some great people, and Old City Station pub afterwards was fun as well!  The only thing I have left to do is find a way to play in next years game AND somehow photograph it.  On the field with a camera maybe?  Needless to say I’ll be giving Alan Anderson a run for his money for MVP.  Alan, you only had 3 (4?), interceptions, 1 touchdown, and a couple huge plays?  Come on man, you can do better than that!

Esowista in Tofino, BC

I usually don’t blog about my commercial work, but I got some nice photos down at Esowista in Tofino, so I thought I’d share.

It’s a beautiful new development going up, and these are just the pump station and the mailbox area!  I know eh?  Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to surf while I was out there, but a friend of mine has been begging me to come back for a surf session so, I’m on my way this weekend hopefully!

Anyway, here they are, enjoy!

A Fathers-Day at the Park

Had a great shoot for Father’s Day with a client and his kids. It took a while to upload because I always wait until the client gets the photos and ok’s them before putting anything up.

The kids were great, and obviously well-behaved!  The blown-up photos also look great adorning their walls!  Hope they enjoyed it as much as I did!

Summer Heat 2011

What a great event that was last night!  The Nanaimo Professional Firefighters put on an absolutely fantastic event raising money for the Burn Fund .

I had the pleasure of setting up and shooting the red carpet at the event.  Tons of great photos and everyone had a blast!  I’ll be posting some of the more “public” photos on the blog here.  If anyone was at the event and wants digital copies or more prints, please contact me!   I was able to raise a chunk of money for the Burn Fund through the photos (even though it seems a lot of people forgot to pay!!  tsk tsk tsk.  It’s for charity people!).

Again, thank you to everyone who attended and donated to the fund!

All photos are still intact.  If you’d like a copy that isn’t here, please email me with a description of what you were wearing or who you were with!  I’m sure I can find it…

Nicholas Atkinson Headshots

Took some shots of Nicholas Atkinson the other day for his application to a Musical Theater program in Vancouver.

The weather was terrible, and due to time constraints (being unable to wait for the weather to clear up), we were forced in to an underground parkade.  My lovely Polish assistant Karin came in handy, and a big thank-you to her!

Also thanks to Jenny, the owner of Parksville Ballet, for holding the reflector for her son!

Best of luck Nicholas, and I hope that having some shiny head shots will help your application!!
